Time Out says

The current batch of NUS students and staff sure are lucky that their ever-expanding campus has been roping in pretty impressive dining options. Most recently, Waa Cow, a pop-up dining store, opened up at the Shaw Foundation Alumni House – and even though it’s in a quiet corner of the campus, students and the knowing public alike have been flocking to the cosy restaurant to get a taste of its affordable rice bowls. The regular signature wagyu beef rice bowl goes for $17.90, but it’s the $9.90 petite size rice bowl that’s the steal. Thin slices of wagyu beef are cooked sous vide ’til pink and tender, over which drapes a poached onsen egg, tobiko, caramelised onions and a shower of spring onions. The lightly torched rice (almost) steals the show from the beef, adding a slight crisp and char to elevate the dish’s textural and aromatic appeal. And if you’re a student, staff or alumni, you’ll get an additional 10 percent off.

The pop-up store will be open until the end of May.
