Time Out says

Dining under the stars at Singapore’s largest alfresco live music venue is like no other. That is why Wheeler’s Estate has been a firm favourite for those who love hanging around a proper grill house with eclectic live bands on set. The laidback vibe of the iconic open terrace allows diners to feast in the cool breeze surrounded by lush greenery – outback barbeque style.

First things first, the live music is definitely the main draw. Jive from Tuesdays to Sundays (from 7.30pm to 10.30pm) with bilingual local resident bands as they bring the house down with the latest hits. There are also immensely popular monthly tribute nights dedicated to iconic bands and legendary singers such as The Eagles, The Beatles, Beyond and Jay Chou.

Tease your senses with the action on the grill, from the whiff of smoke to the sizzle of the meats. Marvel as the chefs work their magic on headliners such as the signature 1.3kg Tomahawk Steak ($188) which uses a combination of specially imported jarrah, apple, and lychee firewood to give its inimitable aroma. Other crowd favourites include the Asahi Black Beer Battered Fish & Chips ($30) and Baja Fish Tacos ($22).

Still thinking about that mouth-watering tomahawk steak? You’d be pleased to know that it goes for only $128 on Tomahawk Tuesdays alongside an attractive all-day happy hour to wash it all down. Whiskey lovers should swing by on Wednesday to enjoy a 1-for-1 Singleton whiskey while you can usher in the weekends with a boozy brunch with 1-for-1 Rose or Prosecco either by the glass or the bottle (from 2pm to 5pm).
