The date: our daters had a meal at Catchfly

First impression

Fifi: “He was early so that’s a good sign because people who are late are a big no-no in my book.”

Ken: “I went with no expectations – but she looks like someone who’s quite active.”

Chemistry

Fifi: “One thing we are both excited about is Liverpool – so we talked quite a bit about football.”

Ken: “It was easy to talk to her. Interesting that she’s also a Liverpool fan – that’s quite rare.”

Awkward moment

Fifi: “I’m the kind who doesn’t like silence so I kept throwing out conversation topics.”

Ken: “I don’t think there were any.”

Afterwards

Fifi: “I was supposed to get a missed call from him but maybe the call didn’t go through?”

Ken: “I got her number – maybe one day I’ll ask her for travel advice because she travels a lot.”

Verdict

Fifi: “It was good to meet someone new but it’s too early to tell.”

Ken: ♥♥♥♥ “I don’t believe in love at first sight. Not sure if we’ll hang out again but you never know, right?”

Catchfly
  • Bars and pubs
  • Cocktail bars
  • Tanjong Pagar

The atmosphere

“A hidden, cosy and intimate location in the basement – it’s a great place to have a date.” – Fifi

The food

“My main dish was a hanger steak done medium rare. All the dishes were good – wasn’t quite expecting that from a cocktail bar.” – Ken

The drinks

“The Self(IE) Adored is definitely a girl’s drink. I think it’s a good one to have if you don’t really know your cocktails as it’s not too strong or too sweet.” – Fifi
