There’s been a glut of pop-up markets in Singapore – and we’re not complaining. What better way to discover cool, independent brands? The latest and greatest is 35A Market by the trendy beauty salon 35A. Held in their beautiful shophouse space on Kampong Bahru Road, the Sunday market is shaping up to be a shopping fiesta full of food, wine, apparel, books, art, tattoo, and more.
There will be 15 booths at the 35A Market. Give your wardrobe an update with Plop Apparels, which will be setting up a booth with the trendiest streetwear: think cargo pants, denim wear, ripped tees, and canvas bags. No wardrobe is complete without some drip, which you can get at Objects of Mass Destruction, known for its eclectic jewellery made from found objects like shells and stones.
There’ll even be a cosy ‘book room’ where you can browse (and buy) issues from the independent zine Magazine for Young Girls, and a live drawing station of manga-inspired art with Jelly Caricature. Eager to take away a lasting memory from the market? Get a flash tattoo from hand-poke artist @non.stoppoking or bedazzle your smile with tooth gems from Third Eye Tooth Gems. Fuel up on Dickson Nasi Lemak on level three or sip some wine with Glug Glug too.
