Singapore’s iconic Peranakan shophouses, but make them LEGO. This first-ever LEGO Shophouse Experience turns the second floor of Design Orchard into a playground where heritage, play and creativity collide. At the pop-up, LEGO reimagines and rebuilds parts of the colourful, narrow terrace houses using its signature bricks. Once you step inside the shophouse, you’ll encounter different rooms that are curated to resemble a home. Wander through the living room, a dining area and the bedrooms, and discover how you can also transform your own home with stylish LEGO pieces. Throughout the space, you can collect stamps that will gradually form a postcard design inspired by Pernakan heritage patterns. The journey ends at a craft station in the retail zone, where you can create and bring home your own retro LEGO Boombox and LEGO Peranakan mosaic tile. Pro-tip: At the start of the shophouse, there’s a gorgeous, vibrant Peranakan-inspired LEGO brick tile wall that makes for the perfect backdrop for any photo ops. And, if you can accurately guess how many LEGO pieces it took to build it, you could be one of the five winners to walk away with a brand-new LEGO set.
