Time Out says

Fairprice Group's 40th Fairprice Finest outlet at Clarke Quay is quite unlike any other. In line with the experiential trend taking over many retail and food venues, the newest supermarket comes with cool bells and whistles like an in-store dining hall, a bar serving local craft beers and cocktails, and a merchandise section showcasing homegrown brands and artists.

Here's what you can expect at Fairprice Finest Clarke Quay.

Local produce and merchandise

Fairprice Finest Clarke Quay shines the spotlight on local producers and brands. Pick up fresh vegetables, fruits, and other produce from Singaporean-based businesses throughout the store, and even pick-and-mix kacang puteh from Tong Garden's adorable kiosk (prices start from $1.30 for 30g of nuts and dried fruits).

This outlet also has a dedicated merchandise section filled with games, snacks, and lifestyle items from local brands and artists. We spotted Fairprice Finest x Kelly Ser products, showcasing traditional architecture and landmarks; locally-inspired card games from Playnation; and products from Prima Taste, Taste Singapore, and more.

The Grocer Food Hall

The standout feature of Fairprice Finest Clarke Qual is the Grocer Food Hall, a dedicated dining venue within the supermarket. There are six food kiosks to choose from, selling Peranakan, Japanese, Western and Lebanese cuisine. To keep things affordable, each food kiosk also offers a value meal, such as Straits Flavour's curry chicken value meal ($8.80) and Mezzi's chicken and Lebanese rice value meal ($5.90).

Look out for locally-inspired fusion dishes too, like Shinshima's ika with chilli crab sauce special and Atavola Pasta and Pane's milo tiramisu.

Fairprice Finest Clarke Quay is also debuting a "You Pick, We Cook" concept. In other words, you can pick your favourite cut of meat from the supermarket's Delicato beef counter (or fresh seafood off the shelf) and have it cooked on the spot in the food hall. We picked up an Angus sirloin steak from Australia ($24 for 300g) and had it cooked teppanyaki-style. The $24 set came with the steak, garlic rice, beansprouts, wakame, chawanmushi, and miso soup.

Grocer Bar

For those who enjoy booze, hit up Fairprice Finest Clarke Quay's Grocer Bar. Sitting just adjacent to the Grocer Food Hall, the bar has local craft beers on tap as well as 11 heritage cocktails. These cocktails, crafted in collaboration with local brands like Brass Lion Distillery, offer interesting twists on local treats like kueh salat and ondeh ondeh.

The Grocer Bar also has an extensive wine and spirits collection, which you can purchase and enjoy on the spot. Feel free to bring food over from The Grocer Hall to enjoy with your drinks.

Fairprice Finest Clarke Quay will also hold various events, including live cooking sessions and workshops. Keep up with all the happenings and sign up for the events here
