With travel being put on hold in recent times, Singaporeans have been quite creative when it comes to being tourists in their own city. From rediscovering popular landmarks to uncovering lesser-seen sights and trails, there's actually plenty to be grateful for in the city. And when it comes to 'travelling' within Singapore itself, there's one place we always look upon for an 'island' getaway: Sentosa. But now, anyone can bring a piece of the island home with its latest collaboration with Brewerkz, Singapore's original craft brewery. Joining forces, Sentosa and Brewerkz present Islander Brew – the country's first destination-inspired beer.

We introduce you to the unique collection of beers which each feature botanicals found in Sentosa – cacao, lime, jasmine and nutmeg – and show you how you can enjoy them in your own way. Whether you're the sort who likes to seek out adventures out or a homebody who values wellness, it's not a crime to always be in a holiday mood when you're living on an island.

Representing fun island life, the Lime Sea Salt Gose is the refreshing beer for Siloso Beach where you can immerse yourself in the quintessential Sentosa experience. Live up the beach life with soft white sand, the blue lagoon, the variety of watersports and the line-up of hip bars and eateries on the coast.

Besides fun and thrills, Sentosa has its secrets too. Tanjong Rimau on the western part of the island is a hidden rustic coast that is rich in marine life, natural reefs and also unexpected hidden caves. The beverage to commemorate this spot is a classic wheat beer with a surprising hint of coriander and nutmeg and a prominent citrusy yuzu aroma.

Life on the island can get thought-provoking too. Pick up a history lesson or two from Fort Siloso on Sentosa, Singapore's last remaining coastal fort. It was built in 1879 by the British as a fortress in the case of a seafront attack. Pay homage to the heritage of Sentosa with the rich and velvety Chocolate Vanilla Porter that also carries deep coffee and vanilla notes.

On top of fun, heritage, and nature, Sentosa is also a place many flock to seek peace of mind. Bukit Manis is where the journey to the famed wellness sanctuaries of Sentosa begins. It's no surprise that the beer repping all things rest and relax is crisp, sparkling and peppered with botanical notes of alluring jasmine.
