Following the success of his shop on Club Street, owner Simon Siah has opened his second outlet, but this time around he’s decided to go for a more suburban route. Siah aims to pass on his passion for cycling to shoppers: ‘Bicycles give a sense of freedom that’s different from walking or driving.’
But Lifecycle goes well beyond regular two-wheeled transport. Much of what’s on sale can help pimp out your own ride: try a seat-post-mounted tail light with directional signals operated with a remote control ($89), or a front lamp that plays audio files from a memory card via built-in speakers ($128). Or perhaps you can go with another mode of transportation – a regular piece of hand-carry luggage that can be converted into a scooter ($525). Geeky but cool.
