Cementing a retail future beyond their Parco next NEXT stints, a group of local designers from the programme – including Foon Foono, eve, Wil.LiaM Atelier and Pezalli, plus collaborators like Coupécousu, aijek and possi-tilly-ty – have set up their new store to continue pushing their creative visions. Their Orchard Central space is intended to be a ‘complete lifestyle destination’ featuring the latest fashions from all the brands, as well as accessories and even quirky home décor pieces.
Customers are encouraged to mix and match looks from the various brands – all the selected pieces are meant to complement each other; hence the store’s name. Plus, to give the retail concept an even more personal touch, MATCHBOX’s designer owners are usually on hand to explain their brand and collection, as well as take shoppers through any special collaboration pieces that have been created just for the store (look out for new MATCHBOX exclusive capsule collections to be launched every quarter).
