Self-professed gourmands, now is your chance to stock up on nifty kitchen gadgets and cookware at ToTT.
For their fourth anniversary, this homegrown kitchenware retail giant is running weekly 'We are Four' $4 deals for the whole month of October, alongside discounts of 10 percent storewide and up to 50 percent off products from Nordicware, Microplane, etc. Even their cooking classes are on discount this month, going at $28 per session with a $20 ToTT voucher to sweeten the deal. Our hot picks go to the knife skills demo class, the bartending primer, and another on smoking your food stove-top.
They've also launched a cookbook, 365 Days of Fun ($12.90), compiling recipes from culinary heavyweights such as Andrew Walsh from Esquina, and Benjamin Siwek from db Bistro Moderne, Ian Hioe from Swissôtel Merchant Court and Shen Tan who formerly headed mod-Sin restaurant Ujong. Join Hioe and Tan on 16 and 18 October respectively as they demonstrate recipes from the cookbook.
And if you just want to show off your superior knowledge of all things food, there are a couple of contests to tickle your fancy.
The weekends-only 'So You ToTT You Can Guess' is a series of challenges taking place across the store at three 'Guess Stations'. Expect challenges like guessing a kitchen product by feeling its outline inside a box. For your kitchen savvy, you'll be rewarded with prizes such as the new ToTT cookbook, an Epicurean wood fibre cutting board, and the De Buyer cast aluminum fry pan.
You can also sign up for the annual ToTT Taste Challenge for which you'll have to identify 25 ingredients blindfolded. The most number of correct guesses win, and that's an impressive $1,500 worth of prizes if you're a supertaster. This is limited to 50 participants, though, so register quickly for the 4 Oct taste challenge.
