You can, quite literally, shake up your gym routine by stepping on one of Surfset’s surfboards and powering through a series of bodyweight movements – sans sand and water. This surf-inspired workout ($35/45 minutes), which incorporates yoga poses, Pilates and HIIT (high-intensity interval training) exercises, is offered in three classes of varying intensity: Balance, Core and Sweat, with an additional circuit-type class in the works. It promises to work your whole body, improve stability and body control, burn fat and build lean muscles – all without having to take a trip to Bali to catch some waves.
