Chinese Theatre Circle presents: Madam Green Snake

Is Chinese opera truly a dying art form? Witness it in the flesh in Madam Green Snake – the sequel to ‘Madam White Snake’ – led by leading artist Joanna See Too of the Chinese Theatre Circle. Held as part of the Singapore International Cantonese Opera Festival 2016, be treated to the many sides of See Too, among them ‘bian lian’ (face changing) and martial arts. The performance will also showcase a blend of classical Chinese music (hua yue), Beijing Opera music, and Cantonese music. Accompanied by English and Chinese surtitles.
