'Ronggeng' by Sriwana (Singapore)

Traverse royal courts, ancient temples and mythical realms without leaving your spot in the Esplanade Concourse: Rasas is a showcase of traditional dances from the region, and it opens with Ronggeng, a spirited dance for duos driven by quick tempos from a rebana – that’s a type of Malay drum – and violin or accordion. This performance is led by Sriwana, Singapore’s oldest Malay performing arts group.
