Time Out says

Not all heroes wear capes. Some hometown heroes don the iconic bright red logo of the Singapore Red Cross. Since 1949, the local humanitarian organisation has gone beyond the call of duty to protect and save lives. To commemorate its seventieth anniversary, the Red Cross is hosting a roving exhibition titled 70 Years of Serving Humanity, Saving Lives. Get schooled through striking visuals on its role, history and international humanitarian efforts at various locations in the city including Junction 8 (October 1 to 6), Raffles City Singapore (October 7 to 13), The Star Vista (October 14 to 20) and Heartbeat@Bedok (October 21 to November 3).

Step back in time as the roving exhibition takes you through the start of the Red Cross Movement in Singapore to where it's at today. Prepare to be roped in by tales told by veterans, moved by inspiring stories, and left for words by an impressive display of Red Cross Stamps from around the world. Learn more about its humanitarian operations, partake in fun, engaging activities, and redeem exclusive Red Cross gifts while you're at it. Wear the red cross and snap a photo at the event for memories too. And if you've got a touching story to tell, share it via myredcross.sg.

With a heart of gold, the Singapore Red Cross serves the vulnerable by homing the disabled; providing transport aid, food aid and first aid; and conducting blood donations, programmes committed to lending relief efforts and emergency assistance. Up until today, the organisation has been mirroring the practice of Henri Dunant, the founder of the International Red Cross Movement in 1863, helping everyone of all backgrounds, regardless of race, language or religion.
