Time Out says

You might know Chimichanga for its indulgent deep-fried burritos, but come September 27, the Mexican restaurant is switching gears to host Singapore’s very first Agave Festival – and also introducing a spirit you’ve probably never heard of.

Enter Cocuy: Venezuela’s lesser-known agave spirit, often dubbed as Venezuela’s tequila. Made from wild agave that’s smoked and distilled by hand, Cocuy is a rarity outside of South America – and it’s making its Asia debut right here. Only 60 bottles have been produced specially for this festival, so curious drinkers shouldn’t miss out on this opportunity.

Beyond Cocuy, the festival also pours over 30 other agave spirits, alongside unlimited margaritas and cocktails. Pair your drinks with Mexican-inspired bites, and dive deeper into agave culture with guided tastings and talks led by experts.
