Time Out says

As part of the Singapore Night Festival, the National Library Building and National Archives of Singapore are staying up after dark for All Things Singapore, a deep dive into the myths, legends and folklore surrounding our island. Over three weeks, discover familiar tales through unexpected ways – there are immersive installations, exhibitions and storytelling sessions, as well as vinyl listening parties, tabletop gaming and more.

Leading you into the mythical world is Lovebug, a giant inflatable by ART-ZOO at the Plaza. Inspired by the endangered Raffles’ Banded Langur and the red saga seed, the installation lets you wander among supersized representations of regional plants, including the nutmeg and the mystical rafflesia. To complete your adventure, swing by the reading kiosk nearby afterwards and dig into a collection of books on nature and other legendary stories.

If you’re a big fan of supernatural tales, then make some time for Horror Nights at Oldham Theatre, featuring screenings of bloodcurdling movies from across the region. Enjoy classics like the 1950s Malay horror Orang Minyak, Emir Ezwan’s award-winning directorial debut Roh and 2023’s Tiger Stripes.
