If you’ve been craving for some local theatre, then you’re just in luck. Wild Rice is serving up a theatrical buffet with All You Can Eat, the latest edition of its Rice Cooker programme that spotlights emerging playwrights. This year’s showcase dishes out 10-minute plays from eight up-and-coming writers, each inspired by food, with meals as the starting point for drama, comedy, confessions and chaos. So come hungry, because there’ll be plenty of delicious stories worth savouring. Expect everything from a family story revolving mee soto to secrets spilt over dry martinis, and surprising revelations around a hotpot table.
Developed under the guidance and mentorship of Alfian Sa’at and Joel Tan, the programme features the works by Alia Alkaff, Miriam Cheong, Dia Hakim Khaeri, Mitchell Fang, Melizarani T. Selva, Rachael Ng, Euginia Tan and Timothy Yam. Meanwhile, the productions are performed and brought to life by the 2026 cohort of Wild Rice’s Young & Wild ensemble, helmed by director Edith Podesta.
