Board game lovers, rise up. The Asian Board Games Festival is hitting up Singapore for the fourth year at the National Library Building to bring together passionate players, game designers and indie publishers to celebrate all things board and card games.
Laugh-out-loud party games, competitive card decks, cosy collections, strategy role-playing games – whatever your play style, there’s definitely a tabletop adventure to match. Explore a curated mix of over 300 entertaining titles (which also includes exclusive drops!) from all over the region, spanning Indonesia, Australia, Vietnam and South Korea. Don’t miss ROLLPA by 303 Enterprise, Bhutan’s first-ever homegrown board game, that takes inspiration from its local traditions and teachings in mindfulness. There are also a bunch of Singaporean games to choose from as well, including classics like Chope, Kopi King, Burnout and Next Station.
Aside from playing and discovering your next go-to game for gatherings, there are also several fringe activities to look forward to. Sit in on dialogues centred on Asian board games, Q&A sessions with creators and designers, plus a rare behind-the-scenes look at Book Bugs, the card game from NLB Singapore’s flagship reading programme for kids.
