Sorry, bag lovers, but this isn’t that kind of BAGFest. The inaugural festival organised by Sing Lit Station and Origame is short for books and board games, gathering independent publishers, writers, zine makers, board game designers and the creative community for a screen-free weekend where you’re invited to unwind, unplug and rediscover the joy of reading and offline gaming.
Look forward to over 30 vendors setting up booths, offering activities for everyone to enjoy. Discover modern Asian tabletop games, take part in demos, or sit in on readings and panel discussions with fellow enthusiasts. Some of the highlights include booths from Singapore-based game studios such as Ameba Games, Nekomancy and Boardverse, as well as organisations like Lepak Conversations and Migrant Writers of Singapore. There are community tables, too, where you can learn more about journaling and narrative RPGs, or join in on a murder mystery.
Entry to the festival itself is free, but you can complete the experience with its Read & Play Passport. The passport offers 10% discount on any purchase at the festival grounds, including a chance to redeem exclusive event prizes and rewards. Get yours here.
