Step into a fantasy world this October 8, at an incredible exhibition that brings fairies, three-headed dogs, and other fascinating chimeras into life. The exhibition, called BELIEVE, A Collection of Wondrous Creatures, is a collaboration between UltraSuperNew Gallery and Black Crow Taxidermy & Art.
Some of the artworks at the exhibition include Black Crow Taxidermy & Art’s original works of art like butterfly mandalas and canvas compositions using paint and clay. But this event goes beyond just traditional taxidermy. Vivian Tham, the taxidermist at Black Crow Taxidermy & Art, also dreams up mythical creatures – using ethically sourced and preserved body parts of bugs and skeletal remains to create exhibits straight out of a fairytale. Blending science and art as only she can, the fantastical display of beauty and colours will definitely spark a newfound appreciation for nature, biodiversity and mythology.
The exhibition runs from October 8 to 30 at UltraSuperNew Gallery. Admission is free.
