Time Out says

Those looking for a chill night out filled with live music and exhibitions should mark their calendars for the upcoming Block A festival. Organised by 24Owls, Block A festival highlights works and businesses by local artists while fostering a community for those with a passion for the arts. Alongside pop-up bookstores and exhibitions, Australian singer-songwriter grentperez will be headlining the festival as part of his growing up? tour.

Known for dreamy bedroom pop and R&B, grentperez started out by posting covers on his Youtube channel where he built a loyal following for his exceptional singing ability and down-to-earth charm. He broke into the mainstream in 2020 after releasing his cover of Olivia Rodrigo’s All I Want, which gained one million views on Youtube. He’s since released a slew of original songs, such as Dreams, Confusing Girl, Love isn’t easy, and his best-known 2021 single Cherry Wine. On the growing up? tour, look forward to songs from his latest album, When We Were Younger, as well as more popular hits like Clementine and Confusing Girl.

Although the event’s full programme has yet to be released, you can expect to browse through books by Chio Books, as well as enjoy live DJ sets and try a wide array of food from local cafés and eateries. Tickets for Block A festival have gone on sale, so be sure to grab them before they sell out.
