Battlebox at Fort Canning Hill springs to life this weekend with Bunker By Night, a music and performance series that reimagines Singapore’s only surviving WW2 underground command centre. Built in the 1930s, the Battlebox once served as a top-secret bunker, and now SAtheCollective is transforming the space with multi-disciplinary performances that bring history to life. Friday night kicks off with a bass-driven ritual of subcultural resistance, while Saturday immerses audiences in experimental soundscapes through a wireless headphone experience, featuring Gelap, Natalie Alexandra Tse and Marla Bedini, Very Shy Gurl Collective, and the Singapore Butoh Collective.
The event is strictly for ages 18 and above. While the Battlebox doesn’t have bathrooms inside, facilities are available nearby at Fort Canning Centre. Rest assured, the bunkers are fully air-conditioned and perfectly safe – so you can lose yourself in the vibes without worry.
