Time Out says

Grab your lanterns and get ready to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival in Chinatown. While the mid-autumn festival officially begins in the first week of October, the precinct is already adorned with festive decorations until October 20. Highlights include an eight-metre-tall centrepiece featuring adorable rabbits, traditional lanterns, mooncakes and orchids in honour of SG60.

Overhangs along New Bridge Road and Eu Tong Sen Street feature lotus flowers, fans, jade pendants and a glowing moon, while Upper Cross Street showcases a luminous moon palace, mooncakes, orchids and lanterns. At South Bridge Road, admire the backdrop of Chang’e surrounded by peonies, mountains and calligraphy panels.

From now until October 6, the Chinatown Festive Fair returns to People’s Park Square, offering handcrafted lanterns and traditional treats. On September 27, families can join the mass lantern walk, which begins at Chinatown Point and ends at Kreta Ayer Square, where participants can enjoy live music and dance performances while admiring the dazzling decorations.
