The Asian Civilisations Museum comes alive this weekend with Crossing Cultures, a series inspired by objects from the gallery. It features performances, workshops and more that dive deeper into the region’s rich heritage and history. At the same time, the museum is also launching its latest UNIQLO UTme! collection with a retail pop-up. The line features exclusive t-shirts designed by Singaporean-based artists, who will be there to share more about their creative process.
During the evenings, enjoy movies and crafting under the stars as the museum transforms into an outdoor silent cinema. Pack your own snacks and bring along headphones to enjoy free screenings of Asian movies like Jimami Tofu, Linda, Linda Linda, and Perfect Days. The first 100 attendees each night will also receive a complimentary macramé craft kit.
While most parts of the event are free, there are paid programmes to look forward to as well. Learn from experts on tea dyeing techniques and how to create your own compound butter blends. Each session requires a registered ticket and is only for participants 18 years old and above.
