Defying Wicked - The World of Stephen Schwartz

The Musicals Appreciation Series is a collaborative effort by Musical Theatre Live! and Yellow Chair Productions, and aims to educate the public on the genre of musical theatre by exposing them to talented composers and lyricists as well as quality songs and shows. The newest edition in this series honours the wickedly brilliant music of celebrated composer Stephen Schwartz, the mastermind behind the scores for Disney’s Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and, most notably, the stage sensation Wicked. This event, which pays homage to a different musical genius once every two months, also provides young musical theatre stars with the chance to strut their talented stuff, and this edition will feature budding talents such as Yanni Amouris, Ian Chioh and Natalie Yeap.
