Happening from now till November 2, the Embassy of Mexico has teamed up with the National Museum of Singapore to put together a free exhibition to spotlight Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead), a widespread Mexican holiday that falls on 1 and 2 November each year. This year's edition is dedicated to the great Aztec empire and will be an opportunity to commemorate the 700th anniversary of the foundation of Mexico-Tenochtitlan, the capital of the Aztecs, and the 500th anniversary of its fall in 1521. Expect two main elements at the exhibition: a 360-degrees pyramid and market display – each set up to represent important sites and symbols of Aztec civilisation.
