If you’ve been putting off a visit to the art galleries at Tanjong Pagar Distripark all these years, then delay no more, because there’s never been a better time than now. With the Cantonment MRT station officially open, the warehouse-turned-arts precinct is celebrating the accessibility with a block-wide party to re-welcome everyone to their turf.
Throughout the day, expect a series of artist performances, art experiences, workshops and talks happening across the compound. Take this chance to also gallery-hop and explore the different ongoing exhibitions, including Annexe #06 at the Art Agenda and Emptiness Full of Life at the All About Art Gallery. Meanwhile, the Singapore Art Museum is opening all of its exhibitions to the public, free of charge.
Need a bit of help on where to start at this sprawling event? Catch guided art walkthroughs at Haridas Contemporary and INSTINC Space, before heading over to PORT37, where everyone – professional artists and beginners alike – is invited to slow down and make art. During the session, you’ll learn how to engage with art and use your reflections to create a masterpiece of your own.
