With this in mind, Ding Yi Music Company presents Econcert, a musical experience that features visual installations paired with Chinese chamber music that seeks to explore humanity’s relationship with nature and make space for introspection.
Established in 2007, Ding Yi Music Company is a Chinese chamber music ensemble with impressive versatility, showcased through a wide range of genres from traditional Chinese music to contemporary compositions and cross-genre works. The inspiration for Econcert stems from the Japanese practice known as shinrin yoku, otherwise known as forest bathing, which aspires to convey a tranquil ambience that encourages introspection.
Crafted with the elegance of Chinese musical instruments, the concert combines breathtaking visuals with soothing melodies, creating an immersive atmosphere reminiscent of an actual forest. Econcert invites its audience to delve into this lush green realm, and take this opportunity to reflect on ourselves and our connection to nature.
