Esplanade’s National Day

Arts and culture lovers can enjoy a weekend of music, exhibitions and other activities at the Esplanade over National Day weekend. Highlights include performances by Qilin Group, the Singapore Char Siew Baos and a showcase of local musical tunes by music director Elaine Chan and actors Caleb Goh and Ethel Yap. Heritage buffs can enjoy a talk by urban historian Lai Chee Kien or relive the good old days in dialogue with Alex Tan Tiong Hee. And feel free to explore the various artworks scattered around the space, too – there’s local artist Chua Boon Kee’s sketches of horses at the concourse and a whimsical installation called ‘My World. My Home’ by Teo Huey Ling and participants from various Voluntary Welfare Organisations at the community wall.
