Time Out says

If you think there’s more to beer than simply cracking one open, you’ll want to make your way to First Press Studio at Swee Lee, Clarke Quay. From August 27 to September 6, this creative space transforms into an immersive showcase of Kirin Ichiban’s First Press Method – where brewing craft meets art, design and, naturally, a good cold pour.

At the heart of the experience is The First Press Collective, bringing together sign painter Charmaine, metalworking studio Baremetal by Matthias Yong and food artist Gong Hua. Each artisan interprets the brewing method through large-scale installations, turning Kirin Ichiban’s pursuit of quality into something you can see, touch and step inside.

You can also get closer to the craft at The Ichiban Pour, a guided experience that takes you behind the brewing process before ending with a complimentary Kirin Ichiban. Then, round things off with specially curated Oishi Pairings, or sign up for one of the weekend First Press workshops, including Kumiko woodworking and Shibori Press sessions, happening August 28 to 30 and September 4 to 6.

Entry to the studio is free, while workshops are $15 per seat and limited to 15 participants per session, so booking early is recommended. Secure your spot here.
