Time Out says

Calling all Francophiles – the French Film Festival is back this year with even more films in the line-up. The 37th edition is running from November 11 to 28 at Alliance Française de Singapour, Shaw Theatres Lido and Paya Lebar Quarter as well as The Projector.

In line with Voilah's "feel good" edition this year, 2021's edition showcases a selection of French comedies alongside beloved genres such as action, romance, drama, sci-fi and family. Comedy buffs can look forward to recent and unreleased comedies including Little Nicholas’ Treasure (by Julien Rappeneau), Delicieux (by Eric Besnard with Gregory Gadebois and Isabelle Carré), Mystery in Saint Tropez (by Nicolas Benamou with Christian Clavier, Benoît Poelvoorde, Thierry Lhermitte and Gérard Depardieu) and two cult movies, OSS 117 – From Africa with Love (by Nicolas Bedos with Jean Dujardin and Pierre Niney) and Kaamelott (by Alexandre Astier).

For the very first time, there'll be a Music in Cinema Section, showcasing the unbreakable links between music and movies. Some highlights are the mesmerising Aline, which is based on the life of Céline Dion, and the timeless The Young Girls of Rochefort by Jacques Demy. The former was presented at the last Cannes Film Festival alongside Bigger Than Us (by Flore Vasseur), Tralala (by Arnaud & Jean-Marie Larrieu), Deception (by Arnaud Desplechin), Peaceful (by Emmanuelle Bercot) and The Divide which won the Queer Prize of the 2021 edition.

And of course, a brilliant showcase of French cinema can't go without acknowledging the influence of Agnès Varda, the godmother of the “Nouvelle vague”, the French New Wave. A selection of her films will be showcased at The Projector.

Finally, the little ones won't be missing out, too. The 2021 edition dedicates a part of its lineup to families and kids, with titles such as Little Nicholas' Treasure (by Julien Rappeneau), The Wolf and The Lion (by Gilles de Maistre) and the animated film Around the World in 80 Days (by Samuel Tourneux).
