To celebrate the hairy crab, a freshwater crustacean found predominantly in China, Min Jiang and Min Jiang at One-North are hosting seven weeks worth of crab-centric dishes. Chefs Chan Hwan Kee and Goh Chee Kong will prepare meals including the Hairy Crab Trio Platter ($28/person) – a collections of pan fried scallops with hairy crab meat and scrambled milk, marinated hairy crab meat salad, and Min Jiang steamed ‘Xiao Long Bao’ with hairy crab meat – and hairy crab and Chinese wine en papillote ($78/piece). Diners at Min Jiang will also be presented with extra dishes, including a Cantonese-inspired steamed hairy crab with glutinous rice served in a bamboo basket ($78). Both restaurants also offer two special six-course set menus ($108 and $118/person, minimum two people), which include the hairy crab specialties and a sumptuous selection of their signature meals.
