Here’s an exhibition that’s redefining what it means to have a fire ’fit. Hot Bodies at New Bahru is a three-week design showcase that gives us a glimpse into the future of how we dress as the temperature across the globe rises. It features a collection of climate-conscious designs and innovative clothing from creatives all over the world, including Singapore, France, the UK, Vietnam and Japan.
But don’t expect just Dune-like garbs. On display are avant-garde pieces next to ready-to-wear apparel and smart sun accessories engineered to keep you protected from the blazing ball of fire. What’s more, you can also shop for practical heatwear essentials, from portable fans, sunstraps and UV keychain indicators.
On top of the exhibition, there will be conversations with experts on best practices beyond just how to dress for our increasingly hot climate. There’ll also be a series of curated hands-on workshops – try electro-lymphatic drainage therapy or experiment with photochromic inks to create a UV-reactive tote bag. Other activities include a 45-minute guided group run and a sneak preview of what goes down at HYROX as the coaches from RANK by CRNK walk you through the race course.
