New Bahru’s inaugural In-Between showcase is putting a fresh spin on the traditional art market format. Organised by Organisation of Illustrators Council, Peculiar Matter and Thirtytwocm, the three-day creative affair offers more than just rows of booths and artworks for sale. Instead, it rolls an exhibition and a marketplace into one, creating a sprawling creative playground filled with discovery and unexpected encounters from different creative disciplines.
More than 50 artists, designers, creatives and makers are taking part, with live performances, musical interventions and interactive experiences spread across the exhibition hall. There are plenty of hands-on workshops to get involved in as well. Sign up for classes to learn how to document your photographic process through journaling, create your own anemone-inspired paper lamp, or turn your daily observations into a comic strip.
In-Between unfolds alongside New Bahru’s Open House. The event marks the creative hub’s second anniversary, featuring a party on the lawn, guided tours, food pop-ups and more.
