Haw Par Villa is not a dead town this coming Saturday – it’s hosting a second round of its large-scale outdoor escape room game in partnership with Lockdown Singapore and ThinkOut Events. The first round ended on May 14.
Titled Journey to the End and Back, this escape game is set around the plot of a school excursion that goes awry and it's a race against time to save your friend before Ox-Head and Horse-Face sends him for reincarnation. You’ll be tasked to solve riddles around the 3.2-hectare park, which includes going to the Ten Courts of Hell and the Hua Song pavilions – definitely not for the faint-hearted.
The hour-long game can accommodate up to ten teams of six people, with multiple sessions through the day. However, only the 11.45am and 8.45pm slots are still available so fastest fingers first.
