Here's more reason to go West side, and you can bring your whole family too – pets included. The precinct's newest attraction is Jurong Play Grounds (JPG), a large recreational park that includes a nursery garden, dog water park, padel tennis courts, an outdoor heated pool, and more family-friendly attractions.
Pet parents can rejoice, because JPG has a number of pet-friendly facilities. Take your dogs to Wag and Wild, billed as Asia's largest dog water park, where your pets can splash around and play catch in dedicated pools. If they're not a fan of water, bring them for a ramble at the public dog run, or even a staycation and grooming session at Urban Paws. Al Capone's also has a special pet menu (the only one in Singapore to have one), so your furry friend can have a meal with the rest of the family.
There's something for the humans too, of course. Take nostalgic carnival rides and play funfair games at Uncle Ringo, or take a stroll around World Farm garden centre. There's only one outdoor heated pool for babies and toddlers in Singapore and its at Happy Fish Swim School, where your children can learn water confidence and swimming. And if you're into padel – a racket sport that's a cross between tennis and squash – then you're in luck, because JPG has the largest courts in Singapore.
Jurong Play Grounds is turning out to be a meeting ground for the community too. Swing by for Weekender Markets (second weekend every month starting 2023). Here, you can shop for local produce, vegetables and plants from the JPG Community Garden, homemade wares and crafts, as well as pet-related products and services.
