The wait is finally over! Lobsterfest is back at Parkroyal Collection Pickering’s Lime Restaurant after a two-year hiatus and this year, it's bigger and better than before. The deep dive into a medley of mouth-watering lobster dishes at the buffet stations will have you loosening your belts. Highlights include cult favourites like the lobster with flavourful chilli crab sauce and piquant black pepper lobster, all served piping hot. There are also heaps of fresh sweet lobsters on ice with condiments to pair for an overall cracking time.
You won’t want to miss the unanimous favourite: steamed lobster with golden garlic paste and wine – a garlicky explosion that is so very addictively savoury. While working your way down the line, don’t sleep on the pass-around dishes. The rich lobster bisque, lobster brioche roll and spicy lobster mango skewers sure are a tasty bunch.
If you fancy a little action, head out to the alfresco area where chefs fire up the smoky barbeque and grill up lobsters a la minute by the truckloads. Crafted sauces such as hollandaise, BBQ smoked hickory and spicy avocado are made ready, to complement and enhance these smoke-kissed crustaceans.
Till August 31, the Lobsterfest buffet dinner ($138) comes with an open bar which includes an unlimited flow of crisp beers, chilled juices, fizzy drinks, and of course, coffee and tea so no one goes home thirsty. But that’s not all. To add to the merriment, festival DJs get the groove on with live sets from Thursdays to Sundays while mimes and jugglers are set to enthral diners and families from Mondays to Wednesdays.
Can’t stomach an entire buffet? Lime Restaurant has an approachable three-course weekday set lunch ($38) for small eaters. Flashing out highlights such as the lobster cauliflower bisque, lobster tortellini and lobster roll alongside delectable desserts and an alcoholic beverage of your choice.
