The end of the year is filled with lots of festive cheer and the mood to go out and have fun. With the return of the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival from December 22, 2018 to March 24, 2019, make it your group-hang destination of choice. The carnival brings laughter, fun, joy, some of that competitive spirit (especially when it comes to winning that giant stuffed toy) and of course, fond shared memories for all ages.

Beefing up this year's programming, the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival is adopting a new theme every month. During this Christmas and New Year period, it's all about Making Crazy Memories and being bold and daring. How can you paint the town red? Let us show you the ways.

Conquer thrilling rides

Conquer thrilling rides

You'll need an immense amount of energy to complete more than 50 rides and games brought in from Europe and around the world. But since this month's theme is about embracing the daring and crazy, gather some courage and hop on the most scream-inducing rides for that adrenaline fix. There are plenty at the carnival: the returning magnificent Starflyer, rollercoasters, a swinging giant ship and more rides that ascend to great heights. If you're dropping by, check out new ride Wave Swinger, which might look mild, but packs quite a punch. It's time to live a little this month!

To add to the fun line-up, there's also a themed dress contest to shake things up. If you come dressed according to the Future Forward theme from December 22, 2018 to January 25, 2019, you stand a chance to win 100 Bonus Credits. All you have to do is post a photo on social media of your get up with the carnival in the background and work your online clout. The top five winners are selected based on the number of likes and votes. Let all your futuristic outfits see the light of day – or neon lights – at the carnival.

Whether you're a dance lover, someone looking to build your social media following or simply looking for a stunning video backdrop, feel free to shimmy in the Dance-in-the-Public Video Contest. Gather your dance squad and record yourselves dancing in front of one of the rides. The videos are then uploaded and screened on Prudential Marina Bay Carnival’s social media channel. Get everyone you know to vote as the winning group goes home with $500 and a Hero 7 Black Camera worth $595 from GoPro. Five lucky runner-ups receive $100 each. Register your interest quick.

Roll up those sleeves, it's time to get competitive. For three weeks from January 2 to 25, all visitors who sign up to participate in this friendly competition are ranked by the number of rides taken and number of games played per RFID card in one single day. One lucky winner from each category is picked every eight days before the score resets. The prize? $200 worth of Bonus Credits.
