Marina Bay Sands' Epicurean Market returns with over 50 booths, free masterclasses and more

Expect three days of feasting at this epic gastronomic extravaganza happening from December 13 to 15

The feasting season is upon us once again and what better way to kick off the festivities than at Marina Bay Sands' Epicurean Market. The highly anticipated dining extravaganza is back for its sixth edition from December 13 to 15, featuring a dazzling array of celebrity chefs, unrivaled dining experiences and its biggest market yet – all packed within a star-studded weekend.

A flying start

Even before the revelry begins, join celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck as he hosts a dinner and cocktail reception on December 13, paying homage to his Austrian rootsThe revered chef also invites guests to Spago, an offshoot of his Beverly Hills restaurant that serves up fresh and sophisticated Californian cuisine, on December 15.

Let's party
The three-day festival officially gets under way with exclusive dinners and soirees on December 13. From 5pm to 8pm, make a beeline to Yardbird Southern Table & Bar for live music, one-for-one cocktails and a taste of what the restaurant will be dishing up at its booth.

Additionally, foodies can partake in exclusively curated experiences such as a four-course dinner at Bread Street Kitchen, a four-course sake pairing degustation at KOMA as well as a wine-pairing dinner at LAVO. There's also the luxurious Premium Cuvée Wine Dinner at db Bistro & Oyster Bar, which highlights the restaurant's signatures alongside a flight of premium champagnes. And over at the JustIN Flavours of Asia, you can taste chef Justin Quek's French-Asian creations like scallop and sea urchin har gow and sambal king prawn capellini.

Market madness

Come Saturday and Sunday, December 14 and 15, the Sands Expo & Convention Centre throws open its doors to welcome you with over 50 booths showcasing signature dishes and tipples, 12 free culinary masterclasses hosted by renowned chefs as well as more wines and treats at the festive market you can bring home with you.

Be some of the first to taste the creations of some of Marina Bay Sands' newest restaurant additions like KOMA and Origin + Bloom, not forgetting old favourites such as db Bistro & Oyster Bar and Adrift. You also get a sneak peek of Hong Kong's famed Mott 32 before it officially opens in 2020. Try some of its signature tipples like the Hong Kong Iced Tea, a refreshing concoction of Don Julio Reposado Tequila with black currant and jasmine tea as well as the Hanami, a boozy tall drink of Rebel Yell Small Batch Rye, Beefeater London Dry Gin, Hachimitsu Umeshu and East Imperial Ginger Beer. It joins 12 other bars offering delicious libations throughout the night.

Class acts

Learn something new at one of the 12 free masterclasses happening throughout the weekend. Chef Oscar Montelongo, the executive chef of Bread Street Kitchen, teaches you how to make a roast at home – just in time for you to impress at the Christmas table. 

Always exploring, Michelin-starred chef and restauranteur David Myer’s culinary expertise is constantly inspired by his global travels. In his inventive masterclass, he brings together his love of food and Tokyo’s vibrant culture to demonstrates his popular pork katsu sandwich served with an innovative smoky cocktail.

You can also pick up treats at the Festive Market, which stocks gifts, wines and other delectable delights so you can get all your Christmas shopping done in one place. While you're there, stop by the Kids' Activity Corner to grab a family photo with Santa before letting the young ones run amok at the bouncy castle.
