Get your Jack-o-lanterns and wispy cobwebs out, it’s time for a full-blown Halloween weekend. Haunted houses and themed parties aside, this Halloween night trail gets you exploring the spookier side of Singapore.
The best part of it all? You’ll be breezing by in an ATV through iconic Southeast Asian momoks like pontianaks, pocongs, and even the occasional Japanese soldier. While there’ll be plenty of jump scares, they will also weave in theatrical storytelling around local folklore. If you want, you can simply go on foot – but just be warned that this makes for a more hair-raising, blood-curdling experience. Whichever you pick, ATV or on foot, it’s likely that these paranormal spirits will come up close and personal.
While the night trail was originally meant to be held at Kampong Wak Hassan, a kampong village that was only torn down in the 80s, it has now shifted to be held at Golden Mile Tower. As you can expect, some were disappointed. This open-air carpark is by all means dark and empty, but it isn’t exactly a spot for the most spine-chilling of hauntings.
Tickets (from $45) are still available and can be purchased here.
