Time Out says

From now till August 26, six historical and culturally significant landmarks in the Bras Basah. Bugis (BBB) precinct will be illuminated with our National Flag’s colours – red and white – in celebration of our nation’s 58th birthday.

The participating landmarks are the Children’s Museum Singapore, Fort Canning Centre, Maghain Aboth Synagogue, National Museum of Singapore, St Joseph’s Church and The Peranakan Museum. These landmarks – four of which are National Monuments – hold great significance in our country's history and heritage, serving as a reminder of the past generations and those yet to come. Alongside this light-up is the projection of a 5-minute short film commemorating Mr. Lee Kuan Yew’s 100th birth anniversary on the National Museum of Singapore's facade.

The light-ups will happen from 7.30pm to midnight. Head out after dark to be part of the celebration and watch as these beautiful landmarks light up before your very eyes.
