We know what you’re thinking, but this isn’t that kind of National Day Rally. There’ll be no reports on national policies, budget breakdowns or a cameo from the PM here (as far as we know, at least). Laut’s version is less serious, more wholesome and much, much tastier. This one-day gathering features some of Singapore’s favourite F&B names for a delicious afternoon filled with local flavours – no tickets or reservations required.
There’s no particular order to go about this feast, but you can kick it off with snacks from Orang Utan, before grabbing a slice or two of Chooby Pizza’s Neapolitan-style pies. Then, finish it all off with sweet and savoury pastries by Chef Maxine Ngooi of Tigerlily Patisserie.
When it comes to refreshments, the variety is equally endless: there are local beers from The 1925 Brewing Co., natural wines from Glug Glug and amazake from Shokudo Club. Meanwhile, Folk Yard will keep the coffee flowing with unlimited fresh cuppas to get you through the afternoon. Want something a little more appropriate for the occasion? Laut will be shaking up classic Singapore Slings to toast to the nation’s 61st birthday.
