Time Out says

To mark the 84th anniversary of the Fall of Singapore, the National Heritage Board’s annual Battle for Singapore showcase is hosting over 30 programmes exploring the trails and tales of the country’s wartime past. Highlights include talks, exhibitions, experiences and the first maritime-themed tour.

At Singapore Maritime Gallery, learn more about Singapore’s maritime trade history as you go on a journey to retrace the maritime evacuation routes that were taken by boats fleeing Singapore in February 1942. The tour takes you on a round-trip ferry ride that’ll travel from Marina South Pier to St. John’s Island and Sisters’ Islands.

This year’s edition also features a new guided heritage trail of Pasir Panjang that’ll walk you through historical battle landmarks, including the Faber Fire Command and Labrador Battery. Elsewhere at Changi Chapel Museum, there’s a Lego activity station where children can recreate iconic World War II sites, such as Fort Canning and City Hall, and learn more about them.

For the full list of programmes available, check out its website here. It includes events at SportsSG, the Indian Heritage Centre, the Eurasian Heritage Gallery, and more.
