Time Out says

Bum… boats? Close. In ART AGAIN’s latest exhibition, these two unlikely subjects don’t just meet; they collide. Titled NAUTI: All Things Naughty and Nautical, the exhibition presents both types of paintings side-by-side (or should we say, cheek-to-cheek) to explore how one depiction is usually embraced and celebrated as powerful imagery of modernisation and progress, while the other is hidden from the public eye.

Expect sweeping scenes of the Singapore River next to sensual sketches of the human body. But the biggest plot twist of all? Many of these seemingly contrasting artworks were oftentimes created by the very same artists.

Featuring over 50 mid-20th-century artworks by local artists including Cheong Soo Pieng, Chua Ek Kay, Anthony Poon, Ng Eng Teng and Teng Nee Cheong, the exhibition draws on 15 private collections, many of which are finally being shared with the public for the first time in decades.
