Who says eating is the only way to enjoy your kueh? As part of The Great Tampines Kueh-scape, Our Tampines Hub has transformed all your favourite local snacks and desserts into an immersive and whimsical playground filled with larger-than-life installations. Imagine a gym made out of kueh lapis, muruku and ang ku kueh. Not quite literally, but close enough – these colourful treats are reimagined as fitness equipment like barbells and inflatable climbing structures, so you can get your steps in before you get your snacks in.
The kueh-inspired activities spill over into live performances and games. Team up with your family or friends and go on a “kueh trail” adventure, where you can take up challenges across the festival grounds to collect digital kuehs for a chance to score exclusive prizes. Then catch a performance of Kueh on the Run, an interactive comedy that follows a chef who goes on a mission to find her missing snacks.
Elsewhere, enjoy family-friendly stage programmes like dikir barat and choir performances, and a gravity-defying acrobatic showcase. Don’t miss Singa Drum Gaia Fiesta, too, where over 200 youth performers unite for a cross-cultural drumming spectacle that celebrates the rich traditions of Malay, Chinese, Indian and Western percussion music.
