On a scale of 1 to 10, how well do you know our local fish? Whether you consider yourself a seafood expert or not, this exhibition by Pasarfish Market is more than just a showcase of the aquatic species. It takes a look at the nation’s marine heritage, charting the journey of Singapore’s seafood supply chain to illustrate how your favourite seafood arrives from the source to the market and to your dining table. Through educational displays and curated artworks, this one-off exhibition encourages the public to make more informed and sustainable choices the next time you decide to have seafood on the menu.
Other programmes accompanying the exhibition are hands-on workshops, lectures and food tasting sessions. Get insights into the fishery industry, learn how to document fish as an art form, and test your tastebuds comparing different types of fish. To round out the day are several booths from local brands: Grab yourself a deck of playing cards inspired by Singapore’s biodiversity from ByeO Barelands, sip on wines from The Amphora Project, or mark yourself with a fish tattoo from Ink.Lotte.
