Featuring more than 50 artists and over 15 programmes, Pocket Fest is back and bigger than before. Organised by ART:DIS, the second edition of the inclusive arts and community festival returns with a jam-packed lineup of creative workshops, exhibitions, performances and free activities for people of all ages and abilities. Design your own acrylic keychain, create a suncatcher fan, and learn how to make a bag charm from fabric scraps at the various drop-in craft booths.
The festival also invites you to be part of the art. Help “grow” a whimsical garden by transforming cardboard cut-outs into flowers and plants, or add your portrait to a collaborative community tapestry. Another major festival highlight is a new exhibition spotlighting artists with disabilities. Quiet Frequencies presents the works of 34 emerging artists across drawing, painting and sculpture, offering a deeply personal perspective on how they each experience, interpret and engage with the world around them.
But the creativity doesn’t stop at the visual arts. There’s a series of live performances as well, including slam poetry, music sets, and a theatrical adventure that plunges you into a surreal world of chocolate lava.
