Time Out says

With over 131,000 tonnes of fashion waste produced in 2020, it's clear that we've got a problem. To bring awareness to this growing issue, Temasek Shophouse and Post-Museum have brought back Renew Earth Sweat Shop for a second run, lasting from August 30 to October 31. Expect an upcycled art showcase at Temasek Shophouse, as well as a series of free workshops and community events.

Renew Earth Sweat Shop is a four-month programme that started way back in May. Participants gathered online to discuss the environmental impact and labour conditions of the global fashion industry, and to brainstorm upcycling projects. Months of effort culminated in almost 200kg of fashion waste collected from swap shops, thrift stores and green movements around Singapore. These were repurposed and put to good use in imaginative upcycling projects, which will be free to view at Temasek Shophouse starting from August 30.

Keen to upcycle your own unwanted clothes? Pick up useful skills such as weaving and sewing with an industrial machine at the Industrial Repair workshops. You can also contribute to the movement by participating in the community sorting house, or joining the daily Collective Patch work sessions where you'll sort and sew patchwork textile to be used for other apparel and projects.
