Happy Birthday Le Le! Yes, Singapore's cuddly panda, the first ever to be born on our sunny island, is turning two this August.
In celebration of this milestone, the Mandai Wildlife Group has collaborated with local label bossini to create a line of apparel inspired by the beloved black and white bear. The clothing will feature illustrations of some of Le Le's most memorable moments.
The celebration doesn’t end there – from now until September 10, you can expect a panda-tastic lineup of events. Witness the birthday bear chomp down treats and try his paws at unwrapping birthday presents at the Giant Panda Forest. Take a stroll along a trail around the River Wonders, and keep your eyes peeled for Le Le's favourite food and toys. For those interested in learning more about panda care, there will be a weekend activity where guests can learn about what it takes to be a panda keeper at their interactive booth.
Additionally, participants will have the chance to engage in creative activities, such as crafting a panda hat at the River Wonders Entrance or making their own panda puppet at the entrance of the Giant Panda Forest.
On designated days, there will be a meet-and-greet with the zoo’s panda mascot family. A donation booth will also be available for contributions back to the care of the animals. As a token of appreciation, participants will receive a plantable card with a panda design.
