Time Out says

If your travel plans to Japan have been halted due to the Omicron variant, fret not, because you can now admire the beauty of the sakura or cherry blossoms at Gardens by the Bay’s Flower Dome.

Put a spring in your step as Gardens by the Bay welcomes spring with a gorgeous sakura display together with special guests: tokidoki’s characters.

Get ready to walk through the torii gates at the Flower Dome and enter a Japanese-inspired landscape decked with the pink blossoms of sakura and momo (peach blossoms). Find your way through clouds of pink blooms and Japanese carp streamers known as koinobori, while admiring the elegant Japanese umbrellas (wagasas) hanging above you at the tokidoki marquee.

Your hanami (flower viewing) gets even more kawaii with a special appearance by tokidoki’s characters, Donutella, Sandy and friends. This marks tokidoki’s characters very first appearance at the iconic Gardens so say "Konichiwa" when you spot them among the landscape.

Because rounded windows – also known as marumado – are amongst the most beautiful elements of traditional Japanese architecture, Gardens By the Bay has also installed them as part of the showcase.

Whether you're out and about for some family fun or a romantic date, Gardens by the Bay's sakura display is a stunning treat for all. For more information, visit gardensbythebay.com.sg/sakura.
